What to expect: pace, belly fat and plateaus.

3 questions

Q

How much weight can I safely lose in a month?

A safe, lasting pace is 0.5–1 kg a week, about 2–4 kg a month. That’s the rate health bodies such as the NHS recommend. Losing faster usually means losing muscle and water, and the weight returns. We also track your waist, hips, energy and strength, so you see progress beyond the scale.

Q

How do I lose belly fat?

You can’t burn fat from one spot. Belly fat drops when you eat less than you burn, get enough protein and do regular strength training, and it comes down along with fat everywhere else. That’s why we measure your waist every week, not just your weight.

Q

Why am I not losing weight even when dieting?

Your weight shifts with water, salt, sleep, stress and your cycle, so the scale alone can mislead you. Often you’re still losing fat underneath. Each week we check your measurements and strength too. If you’re truly stuck, I adjust your plan rather than asking you to eat even less.

Food

02

Food

Indian meals, cravings, protein and portions.

4 questions

Q

Can I eat rice and roti and still lose weight?

Yes. What matters is how much you eat overall, not giving up rice or roti. Your plan is built around the Indian food you already eat, including weekends, festivals and meals out. Send me the menu before you eat out and I’ll tell you what to order.

Q

How do I stop sugar cravings and stress eating?

Regular meals with enough protein and fibre keep you fuller for longer, which helps bring cravings down. Sugar cravings and stress eating are the two most common struggles my clients share when they start. We plan for something sweet instead of banning it, and adjust every week based on your check-in.

Q

How do I get enough protein on a vegetarian diet?

Add a protein source to every meal: dal, paneer, curd, Greek yoghurt, soya, tofu, sprouts, and eggs if you eat them. I write vegetarian, Jain, eggetarian and non-vegetarian plans, each with a daily protein target you can hit using foods you already like.

Q

Do I need to count calories to lose weight?

You need to eat less than you burn, and weighing your food at the start is the most reliable way to know you are. It’s a short learning phase, not forever. Within a few weeks most clients can judge their portions by eye.

Health

Health

PCOS, thyroid, gut health, pregnancy and menopause.

4 questions

Q

Can I lose weight with PCOS or thyroid?

Yes. PCOS and thyroid conditions can make fat loss slower, but not impossible. The right plan focuses on steady blood sugar, enough protein and strength training. Hormonal health is my specialist area, including insulin resistance, prediabetes and fatty liver, and I always work alongside your doctor.

Q

Will the plan help with bloating and acidity?

Often, yes. Bloating and acidity are common, especially when meal times are irregular. Your plan looks at fibre, water, meal timing and the foods that trigger you, and we adjust it as you go. Persistent symptoms should always be checked by your doctor.

Q

How do I lose weight after pregnancy?

Start gently once your doctor has cleared you for exercise, usually after your postnatal check-up. Aim for slow, steady loss with enough protein and strength training. If you’re breastfeeding, your plan keeps enough calories for you and your baby, and works around your sleep and energy.

Q

Can I lose weight after 40 or during menopause?

Yes. With falling oestrogen and muscle, strength training and enough protein matter more than ever after 40. I coach women from their twenties to their fifties, including women in perimenopause and menopause. Your plan considers your sleep, energy and symptoms.

Training

04

Training

Home or gym, periods and pain.

2 questions

Q

Can I lose weight without going to the gym?

Yes. Fat loss comes mainly from your nutrition, and strength training at home is enough to build muscle. Live sessions need only a mat and a pair of dumbbells. If you already train at a gym, your plan will use it.

Q

Should I exercise during my periods?

Usually yes. Exercise is generally safe during your period and can ease cramps and lift your mood. Listen to your body: on heavy or low-energy days I lighten your session. The same goes for back or knee pain. Anything medical, we clear with your doctor first.

How do I lose weight with a busy work schedule?

With a plan that fits your real week and someone keeping you on track. Most of my clients have demanding desk jobs. Your meals fit your work hours, we connect every week, and you can WhatsApp or email me any day. I usually reply within an hour.

Q

Do you coach online or in person in Mumbai?

Both. Training is live, online or in person in Powai, Mumbai. Nutrition coaching is fully online, so it works from anywhere. Either way you get the same personal plan, weekly check-ins and direct access to me.

Q

Are you a certified nutritionist?

I’m a nutritionist and strength coach for women, certified in hormonal health by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). In 8 years I’ve coached more than 700 clients, with a focus on fat loss, PCOS, thyroid and metabolic health.

Q

How do I get started?

Your plan is built around you, not taken from a template. It starts with a free 30-minute call about your goals. You then fill in a detailed health and lifestyle form and share any blood reports or doctor’s notes. I review everything personally. We then walk through your plan together on a second call, so it feels doable before you begin.

Q

What time are the live sessions, and what if I miss one?

Sessions run in early-morning, morning and evening slots, and we can agree timings that suit you. If you miss a live session, we reschedule it. Your plan isn’t extended, except in genuine emergencies.

Quick sign-up first, so I only take genuine bookings.
